In order to process credit cards at your storefront, you have to have a merchant account with a direct processor/acquirer.

A merchant account will allow you to accept physical credit cards in-person at your store front or at your customer's location. You will also need some type of processing equipment like a card-swiper terminal.

A payment gateway is required in order to accept credit card payments online. The payment gateway provides the backend infrastructure to connect a shopping cart or online payment form to the merchant account's credit card processing network.

A payment gateway can also be used for processing credit cards received by telephone and mail through the included virtual terminal.

Our payment gateway will plug into our merchant account or you can use your existing merchant account with our payment gateway.

New Level 4 merchants are given up to 90 days to complete initial PCI compliance and then again ever 1 year.
